But Rebel Ice Cream isn't like other "healthy" ice creams. The high fat content gives it the creamy texture of real ice cream. The perfect blend of natural sweeteners gives it the sweetness of real ice cream. In other words, this is real ice cream without any of the sugar! However, since there is no sugar, it is best to let the ice cream soften for 10-15 minutes before you eat it.

Yum. Yum. And did I forget YUM?

So two things went well here:

1) delivery was prompt. Rebel shipping is a little weird, at least for my location. The first couple time I ordered it took about a week to arrive. But this time it was FAST (and well packed).

2) on to the ice cream itself. This chocolate is my favorite! The advice to let it sit for 15 mins or so is accurate; that gives it the most authentic "non-keto" ice cream experience. The texture is definitely creamier than regular ice cream (because of the high cream content) and that can be unexpected (sometimes off putting) for a few people. It is NOT the sandy texture you get from some of the other low carb ice creams. It is also not as sweet as regular ice cream, but I like like that. I keep a pint (or a few) in my freezer at all times for when a sweet craving hits.

As far as other flavors from Rebel: I find all of the flavors to be at least OK, mostly better than OK. The chocolate, as I noted, is great, and the vanilla is also excellent. The triple chocolate is also very good and I like the peanut butter one I've had. Some flavors do not mask the erythritol quite as well (I do sometimes get a slight aftertaste with that particular sweetener). It doesn't make the flavor "bad" just...a bit different. For the ice creams that I've not liked as much I find they taste fine whipped into a shake...a pinch of cream or fairlife milk, and (depending on the flavor) a tablespoon or two of berries, some whipped cream on top 😁yum.
